Mobile Thefts in Thane rising at large scale.

In Thane City especially Majiwada the mega commercial and residences area and epicenter of Thane City is facing a big Mobile Theft robbery cases on a large scale since months. Be it near Viviana Mall at Majiwada under Vartak Nagar Police Station or Ashapura Mandir Bus Stop under Kapurbawdi Police Station, & Rabodi Polife station the mobile thefts are increasing which is leading to thoughts among people of Thane whether Police is doing its work or not ? There are multiple mobile thefts cases pending in Kapurbawdi Police Station but still mobile thefts cases are rapidly rising.

1. My partner was travelling from auto near Viviana Mall when a biker snatched her phone and ran away, due to heavy traffic at Majiwada Junction, we couldnt catch him, we filed case in Police station but yet to find the phone.

2. I was standing on road at Ashapura Mandir Bus Stop in Majiwada when a auto rickshaw driver informed me that my phone is stolen by a man who was running away, while I tried to nab him by running after him, his partners and he went into a car and vanished.

3. The citizens as well as Thane Municipal Corporation has to be blamed for this situation, as reported by Free Press Journal a month ago, there is absence of wider footpaths here at Majiwada Naka and Kapurbawdi Naka due to which people have to walk and stand on road, due to which the theifs are getting phones easily, if a proper footpath is constructed here maybe  thefts can be reduced. Here exactly we had replaced sodium bulbs Streetlights to LED streetlights in a bid to reduce crimes, but Police along with TMC must work together.

4. In our area Sachin Shingare ji once gave us an idea which we too support - "We have so much staff in Reserve Police Force, why cant we get some police from there and deploy it from Lake City Mall to Golden Dyes Junction? If the theifs will see so many policemen deployed, they will indeed stop the thefts! " We request Thane Police Commissioner to give us 2/3 buses full of Reserve Police that can be deployed during peak hours of 6 to 8 PM in evening.

5. I had put my phone in my back pocket of my jeans while walking when suddenly a man stole it and ran away, the passersby told me these incidents are normal since local police station isnt active and has staff crunch.
