Where is my TMT Bus App ?

Thane: Under Smart City Initiative, In year 2016, under the Thane Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sanjeev Jaiswal, the Thane Municipal Transport launched an app named 'Where is my TMT' to track TMT buses, including list of routes and online ticket buying facilities, the app was launched with a huge publicity, however it failed miserably. Thane Municipal Corporation has spent around 3 Crores for this app.

What led to the failure ?

1. Buggy App

2. Unupdated Software

3. Lack of Public Awareness

4. In year 2016, Jio had recently launched so people were new to internet and had just started consuming data so they didnt had any idea how to use the app.

5. Electronic Devices for bus tracking for stolen by theifs.

Should the TMT app be revived?

If one section of citizen's views are taken into consideration, the app must be revived for citizens. The App can be improved and relaunched. If the second section of citizen's views are taken into consideration then the BEST Chalo app should add TMT buses into their app so that it would be easy to use. However when we contacted BEST, they refused to this suggestion. So it seems TMT must revive the App on its on.
